Lithuania’s accession to the EU has led to the gradual implementation of relevant Community rules in public procurement and state aid.
Public procurement is an ongoing reality of all public institutions. Private entities receive funding according to projects from various structural funds of the EU. In our practice, Public and Private Partnerships also find their place under this heading. Although essentially different, these spheres are subject to similar developments and legislative constraints.
Out clients are public (established by the state or a municipality) and private entities that seek an effective and transparent way to acquire or supply products and services. We look forward to assisting our clients at the dawn of the electronic public procurement era.
In those instances where state aid schemes have a beneficial impact on normal competitive forces in overall European Union terms, Regija Borenius is glad to be of service to clients regarding compliance with mandatory rules and protection of vital interests through national and EU institutions.
