Did you know... The EU rules on registration of medicinal products have changed significantly. One of the most problematic amendments is the requirement to register a medicinal product using the name of a trade mark of the Marketing Authorisation Holder and not the name or a trademark of the Producer. The EU legislation on the matter should have been transposed by the 30th of October 2005 throughout the EU Member States. Lithuania already has adequate mechanisms in place while the old system is still applied in Latvia.
