The first fruit of the cooperation between the Law Firm Foigt & Partners / Regija Borenius and UAB Mokesčių srautas is the seminar “Conversion of Sole Proprietorships into Private Companies”
On 17 June, Law Firm Foigt & Partners / Regija Borenius together with UAB Mokesčių srautas held the first joint seminar titled “Conversion of Sole Proprietorships into Private Companies”. The event took place from 10 a.m. in the training hall of UAB Mokesčių srautas at Sėlių g. 33/2, 2nd floor.
At the seminar, presentations were given by Attorney-at-Law Žygimantas Pacevičius, Partner of the Law Firm, and by Auditor Jurgita Navikienė, MEcon, Manager of Solidus vox, which is a company providing accounting services.
In the tax overview part of the seminar the comparison between the tax burdens borne by sole proprietorships and by private companies were made.
The liabilities of the proprietors of these types of legal persons were also analysed: tax liabilities and rights, distribution to proprietors of net profit earned. The second part of the seminar focused on the concept and features of a sole proprietorship, the advantages and disadvantages of this type of legal persons. The issues of the stages of conversion and documentation related to conversion, the execution of a conversion transaction and the grounds for the invalidity of conversion were dealt with.
